Stem

The Sports and Arts in Schools Foundation values the development of Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) skills in all students. SASF STEM programming gives students an opportunity to develop both independent and team projects. These projects support the Common Core Framework, improving students’ knowledge of the four core STEM areas in a creative after-school environment.

STEM programming is offered at all SONYC Champions Clubs. Our students have a variety of project-based opportunities available.  Some of the activities that are offered are Lego Robotics, coding, science development with experiments, investigating probability, computer building, graphic development, technology and engineering understanding.
