TEAM SASF is currently recruiting runners to run with Team SASF at the 2016 TCS New York City Marathon and invites you to join us as we Run to Create Opportunity. After School.
What is Team SASF?
Team SASF is a fundraising club where team members use their athletic skills to help raise funds and awareness for Sports & Arts in Schools Foundation, and after-school programming across New York City.
How Does Team SASF Work?
Team members take part in athletic competitions of their choice, such as run/walk/bike-athons, and recruit sponsors to support their efforts. Alternately, team members who are fitness instructors can donate proceeds from any fitness class, such as aerobics, yoga, pilates, spinning, zumba, or personal training.
You can participate in one event or 20! You can raise challenge yourself and your fundraising skills through an intense Iron Man Challenge or a beginner-level yoga class. You can raise funds through one event or 100. The options are limitless. Your hard work and funds raised through TEAM SASF all benefit SASF’s high quality after school programming in NYC.
Who Can Join?
Anyone, of any age, and any level of physical fitness can join! Since you pick the activity you will participate in, you can choose any activity that fits your comfort level.
Do I Need to Join as a Team or Can I Participate by Myself?
We welcome teams of 1 or 100. You are encouraged to form a team with your family, friends, co-workers, if that’s your preference, or you can even join an existing SASF team.
What is the Fundraising Commitment?
TEAM SASF has no minimum fundraising commitment unless you choose to participate in a specific TEAM SASF-sponsored event. In this case we ask that you commit to the event’s established fundraising goal for each team member. Again, you can sign up for one event or 20! The choice is yours.
